Recipe For Cooking Black Forest Oatmeal Bars

Black Forest Oatmeal Bars (WW)
1 C. butter, softened
3/4 C. sugar
1/2 C. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
1 2/3 C. flour
1 tea. baking soda
1/4 tea. salt
2 C. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 1/2 C. semi-sweet real chocolate chips
1 C. (5 oz.) dried tart cherries, coarsely chopped
Drizzle
2 C. powderedsugar
1 to 2 tea. Kirsch or apple juice
2 to 3 Tbsp. water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in lrg. mixer bowl. Beat at med. speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (1 to 2 min.). Add eggs and vanilla extract; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until well mixed (1 to 2 min.). Stir in oats, chocolate chips and cherries by hand.
p>Spread dough evenly into ungreased 15 x 10-in. jellyroll pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown. Cool completely.
Drizzle: Stir together powderedsugar and Kirsch in sm. bowl. Gradually stir in enough water for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle over bars. Cut into 48 bars.
