Recipe For Cooking Cherry Bars

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Bar Cookies

Cherry Bars

Base
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. melted butter
1 C. flour

Mix together and pat into an 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 min.

Topping
2 eggs beaten
1 C. brown sugar
1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tea. salt
1 tea. baking powder
1 C. shredded coconut
1/2 C. candied cherries chopped
1 C. chopped walnuts

Beat eggs with brown sugar, add vanilla extract or flavoring and mix well. Add flour, salt and baking powder and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour onto the top of cooled base and bake for 25 min. at 350 degrees F.
