Recipe For Cooking Cherry Coconut Bars

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Bar Cookies

Cherry Coconut Bars

1 C. sifted flour
1/2 C. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. powderedsugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 C. sugar
1/4 C. flour
1 1/2 tea. baking powder
1/4 tea. salt
1 tea. vanilla extract
3/4 C. chopped nuts
1/2 C. coconut
1/2 C. qt.ered maraschino cherries

With hands mix first 3 ingredients until smooth and spread thinly in an 8-in. square pan. Bake 25 min. at 350 degrees F.

Stir remaining ingredients into eggs. Spread over top of warm baked pastry and bake 30 min. longer at 350 degrees F. Cool and cut into bars.
