Recipe For Cooking Texas Brownies

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Blondies and Brownies

Texas Brownies

2 C. sugar
2 C. flour
1/2 C. margarine
1 C. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 C. buttermilk
1 tea. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring

Mix together sugar and flour. Put margarine, water and cocoa in a saucepan and let melt. Add all remaining ingredients and mix. Bake in a jellyroll pan at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 min. Ice while warm.

Icing
1/2 C. (1 stick) margarine
6 Tbsp. milk
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. powderedsugar
1 C. chopped nuts

Put margarine, milk and cocoa in a pan and melt together. Remove from stove. Add powderedsugar and nuts. Spread on brownies while warm.
