Melting Moments

1 C. unsifted flour
1/2 C. cornstarch
1/2 C. powderedsugar
3/4 C. margarine
1 tea. vanilla extract

In a med. bowl stir flour, cornstarch and powderedsugar. In a lrg. bowl with mixer at med. speed beat margarine until smooth. Add flour mixture and vanilla extract or flavoring and beat until combined. (Dough will be past the crumbly stage. It will be a heavy batter). Refrigerate for 1 hr..

Shape into 1-in. balls. Place about 1 1/2 in. apart on an ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with a lightly floured fork. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 min. or until edges are lightly browned.

NOTE: Paste food color may be added to dough before forming balls.
