Recipe For Cooking Pink Almond Cookies

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Cookie Cutter and Ball Cookies

Pink Almond Cookies

1 C. butter
2 C. sugar
3 eggs
2 tea. almond extract or flavoring
4 C. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tea. cream of tartar
1/2 tea. salt
Red food coloring

Glaze
1 C. powderedsugar
1/2 tea. almond extract
2 tea. plus 1 Tbsp. evaporated milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Add almond extract, flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt. Add a few drops of red food coloring to the dough and swirl through mixture. Do not overmix. Chill dough thoroughly.

Roll chilled dough into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten balls slightly. Bake for exactly 10 min. While cookies are baking, mix together the glaze ingredients. Glaze cookies while warm.
