Recipe For Cooking Simple Lemon Bars

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Cookies that Use Cake Mix

Simple Lemon Bars

1 (18.25 oz.) box yellow cake mix
2 C. crushed corn flakes
1/2 C. brown sugar, packed
1/3 C. chopped nuts
1/2 C. softened butter
1 sm. box lemon pudding (NOT INSTANT)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
1 C. powderedsugar
1/4 tea. vanilla extract
3 to 5 tea. water

In a lrg. bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients until crumbly. Reserve 1 C. for topping, press remainder in the bottom of a greased 15 x 10-in. pan.

Combine pudding, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract; mix well. Spread over crust, then sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 min.

Combine powderedsugar, vanilla extract or flavoring and water. Drizzle over warm bars. Cool completely and store in refrigerator.
