Recipe For Cooking Chocolate Cutouts

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Drop Cookies

Chocolate Cutouts

2/3 C. vegetable shortening
1 C. sugar
1 egg
2 C. sifted enriched flour
3/4 C. cocoa
1 tea. baking powder
1/2 tea. salt
1/2 tea. baking soda
1/4 C. milk

Blend vegetable shortening, sugar and egg.

Combine dry ingredients with milk and mix well. Chill dough about 1 hr..

On a floured board, roll dough a sm. amount at a time to about 1/8 in. thick. Cut with holiday cookie cutters dipped in flour. Place on unprepared cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 8 min.
