Buttered Popcorn Bread

1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 C. warm water
1/4 tea. ginger
1/4 tea. sugar
2 1/2 C. flour
2 tea. wheat germ
1 Tbsp. butter flavoring
1 1/4 tea. salt
1 Tbsp. oil
5 C. popcorn, crushed
Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
In a bowl, combine ginger, sugar, flour, wheat germ, butter flavoring, salt and oil. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth and satiny, about 10 min. Knead in crushed popcorn (reduces to about 2 1/2 C.). Allow to rise, covered, in a warm place for 2 hr..
Punch down; place in a prepared bread pan, and allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hr..
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 min., or until golden brown.
