Recipe For Cooking Sugar Lump Cinnamon Bread

Sugar Lump Cinnamon Bread

1 C. milk
1/2 C. butter or margarine
1/2 C. sugar
1 tea. salt
2 pkg. yeast
1/3 C. warm water
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract or flavoring
1 egg
5 1/2 to 6 C. flour

Filling
1/4 C. soft butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
50 sugar cubes

Combine milk and butter and heat to scalding. Add sugar and salt and cool to lukewarm.

Soften yeast in the 1/3 C. warm water.

Add vanilla extract or flavoring and egg to milk mixture. Add softened yeast. Add flour gradually as needed. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth. Let rise until double.

Punch dough down and divide in half. Roll each half to a 12 x 15-in. rectangle.

Filling: Mix together butter, cinnamon and sugar cubes. Use half on each rectangle, spreading as evenly as possible. Roll up and pin. edges to seal. Place in prepared bread pans and let rise until double for 30 to 35 min.

Bake for 30 to 40 min. at 375 degrees F.
